So far the start of the week has been a good one. Helped immensely by the fact my boyfriend is finally back from his sojourn in South Africa. I missed him! I made sure he had a very special welcome home yesterday LOL.

I was reading the Sam and the City blog on SMH (Sydney Morning Herald) website today, and there was a video clip of Sam at the Aria's over the weekend. She was asking all sorts of questions to the celebs on the red carpet, including what songs are good to shag to LOL. This got me thinking about the lack of music playing when I have sex LOL. The BF and I just don't play music when we have sex. Could be because there is no sound system in the bedroom, but even if we have a shag in the lounge, I never turn the stereo on. During my early 20s, music was a must. I lived in shared accommodation, and you didn't want the flatmates to hear you bonking. Though sometimes I'd get complaints from flatmates because my "sex soundtrack" didn't change a lot and they got sick of hearing the same songs over and over again. (I'm sorry, I didn't realise I had to be a DJ while I was shagging LOL). I think that's one of the bonuses about not living with flatmates... the ability to have sex anywhere, anytime, any noise level LOL.

I'm attracted to this guy I know through work. He's tall, dark, handsome. Young. Arrogant, over-confident and incredibly self-aware. He's got no shame and is a bit of a wanker LOL. When I explained to a friend that I was attracted to him, she was surprised. She didn't really think he was my "type".

That got me thinking about whether or not I have a "type". I know some people do. A friend only seems to go out with whippet-thin artists/musicians. Another guy friend has a history of petite curly-haired brunettes.

Me? I'm more of a generalist, I like all types! I been with surfing blondes, charming Irish boys, sexy Maori boys, outgoing guys, shy guys, creative types, builders... accountants LOL. I've been out with two men who were more than 20 years older than me. I've had a thing with a guy I used to babysit (that doesn't quite sound right LOL).

I'm really not fussy - I guess the common thread about the men I've been with is that they all pretty smart. I'm not attracted to dim men.

I'm not particularly intuitive, in fact I can be quite oblivious most of the time. My nana has very good intuition, also this eerie ability to know when something isn't quite right with someone, or if they're lying (she's like a human lie detector LOL).

However, this morning I woke up early with this real sense of something not being right with the BF. Now this is just plain weird. I can't quite figure out what it is though LOL. Just a niggling feeling. But I can't contact him at the moment, as he's offshore and telephone contact is sporadic. So I've just text messaged him and am trying to distract myself by watching the rugby (France v Argentina) so many cuties! Certainly two very attractive teams, especially that Argentinian second five eight.

So, according to a new global servey, New Zealand women are the most promiscuous in the world averaging 20.4 sexual partners (the global average is 7.3). New Zealand is also the only country where women have on average more sexual partners than men. I've had more sexual partners than most of my boyfriends, and yes I'm well above that average of 20.4 LOL. Although not yet in triple digits! I moved away from home to go to university and engaged in lots of rampant sex with lots of really inappropriate men LOL.

Speaking of rampant sex, that may be off the menu once the BF gets back from South Africa. I've had a bad back for months (years actually) and am finally doing something about it. Turns out I have a tilted and fixed pelvis (perhaps caused initially from all that rampant sex I had when I was younger? LOL) and my spine is out of alignment. I'm having treatment for it, so we'll see if it fixes the back pain in time for my honey's homecoming!

The BF is still out of the country, due back late next week (hopefully before the 26, as I'm away at a big family shin-dig over the weekend and really want him to come along with me). It's also his birthday on the 18, he'll be 34. He doesn't look 34. Certainly does act it LOL. Sometimes it's like living with a 22 year old (just without the 22 year old body!) LOL.

France 20 - New Zealand 18.

I'm too bummed to do anything.

I was at the gym tonight and noticed a few people were making use of the sauna.

Sauna's are one thing that I cannot use. I feel like I'm being smothered. Can't breath, get panicky LOL. I've tried sauna's in the past, and have left after about a minute, I don't find them relaxing. Seriously, how can not breathy air be relaxing? LOL

Same reason why I don't tend to have long steamy baths (I very rarely have a bath, I've lived in this house for nearly 3 years and have had 2 baths! LOL). And I also skip the steam part of the facial at the beauty salon.

I'm quite pathetic really. Can't use a snorkel. Can't flirt. Can't sit in a sauna LOL.

So, the BF has been gone for about 3-4 weeks now.

I have missed him LOL. I've missed having someone to drag off to work events/functions. I've missed having a movie buddy (who doesn't complain when I say I want to see a 1954 black and white German subtitled movie), I've missed having someone to cook for. I've missed the sex LOL. I've missed having someone to talk to when I get home. I've missed his humour. I've missed having someone go to gigs with. And I've missed him creating playlists for my iPod. I have even missed his mocking me about my love for David Beckham.

He won't be back for another few weeks, so I guess I need to make the most of the time he's away. Like driving his nice car. Having the whole bed to myself. Not washing untold number of surf gear.

Now for something totally unrelated. NZ will play France on Saturday in one of the quarter final games of the Rugby World Cup. It's a shame that this happened (long story, but basically boils down to Argentina beating Ireland) because it means that come Sunday, one of the tournament draw cards will be out. And it also means I won't get to see my dream final - NZ v France. I think to console myself, I will go and buy a few (dozen) bars of Moro Gold. Anyone had these? Oh. My. God. They are DIVINE. The best chocolate bar out there. I even think... they're nicer than Whittakers Almond Gold (that's big, because I think Almond Gold is wicked good).
