Tonight at the gym they played music that immediately took me back to 1989 and being in the 4th Form.

Classic songs from Def Leppard, The Black Crowes, Bros, Salt'nPepa, INXS, The Soup Dragons...

It was hilarious, working out to Bros just cracked me up. The dance moves, the stonewashed high waisted jeans. Great memories LOL.

Last night I dreamt that Brad left Angelina for me.

He also, unfortuntely, took his 4 children with him, which is when the dream turned into a nightmare! (While the kids are cute, Maddox teases his siblings relentlessly and Shiloh is a biter LOL).

I was obviously concerned about the Brad plus baggage, because in the dream I called my mum who said that I must really love him if I was willing to take him and his four kids. I think that's when I woke myself up, as it was really starting to get scary LOL.

To completely change subjects now, I walked to a different bus stop this morning. Just felt like a change of scenery, different houses to look at. I'm lucky in that I live within about 500m of three different bus routes, so get to pick and choose which one I take depending on how late I'm running LOL.

I live in a really diverse neighbourhood, quite close to the city centre.

In the few streets surrounding my house, you have trendy urban professionals buying renovated villas and bungalows (or buying unrevonated villas and bungalows and doing them up), who drink imported beer, have a large SUV parked outside, and have kids called Peregrine and Francesca and Hugo.

Then there's the tougher streets with residents who live in older, run down villas and bungalows, who drink Tui, who have a 1988 Toyota Corolla parked out front and have kids called Santana, Jahymee and Rage (I kid you not, the kid two doors down is called Rage).

Then there's the weirdo old lady at number 21 who I swear lives in her garage. And it's not one of those nice garages-slash-sleepouts. It has concrete floors, no windows and would be really cold. I walked past once and the side door to the garage was open and I could see a bed, stacks of newspapers and clothes. She also has heaps of cats, only seems to wear a grey overcoat and walks around talking to herself.

Down the road a bit lives the 10 year old pyro, who I caught twice trying to burn down the large pohutukawa tree opposite my house.

Yes, it's a very diverse neighbourhood indeed.

So I'm looking for new bed linen, in particular, a duvet cover.

It's proving to be more difficult that I had anticipated. And not because I am really really fussy have particular tastes either. It's difficult because I have to find something that the BF likes too, because he does have to sleep in the bed with this duvet too LOL.

I'm looking for something that's not too masculine, nor too feminine. He doesn't want floral or patterned ones. He doesn't like red, pink, yellow or green colours (too "girly").

I like florals. I also like red and pink LOL. I'm not fussed on stripes or anything checked or tartan.

So where does that leave us? (Arguing in Arbuckles apparently LOL).

In the neutral colour palettes and very plain styles. I've seen some covers that I love, but simply can't afford (Dear Household Linens, have you thought that a rather simple duvet cover priced at $495 is a bit much? And don't get me started on the $195 pillow cases). Why is it that the linen I like, is always so expensive? Why can't I have cheap tastes? LOL.

Anyway, I have a few more stores to check out before I officially give up and go and buy the least fugly cover from Briscoes or Farmers.

I think I should have about 189 de-merit points taken off my "Girlfriend Licence" and given a citation for Poor Girlfriend Behaviour.

Last night, the BF told me that in 10 days or so, he'll be on a 6-8 week shoot in some place I can't recall because I stopped listening due to excessive feelings of elation when he said he was going away for 6 weeks South Africa!

We've hardly spent any time together the past few weeks and you'd think I'd be a bit sad about him going, but you know. I can hardly wait!

I love the man, don't get me wrong. He's gorgeous, funny, smart, sexy and I love spending time with him. But I really enjoy spending time on my own too LOL.

I love having the whole bed to myself.

I love going to bed in warm, fluffy flannel pajamas and waking up still wearing them (he has an aversion to flannel and sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night half naked because he's taking off my pjs he loathes LOL).

I love watching Home & Away, Laguna Beach and E! True Hollywood Story without being mocked.

I love that I can have a salad for dinner and just a salad.

I love that I can wear cute ballet flats and not get smart arse comments about being a midget (he's a heels fan of course!)

So, the countdown is on.

Only 10 more sleeps to go!
