I often get hassled about my expensive tastes. But I have never spent $548 on Christmas decorations.

Yes, that's right. $548 on decorations. For a tree. That we don't even have yet!

I cannot believe my BF spent that much money on decorations today. Sure, some of them are really pretty, but horrendously expensive. Some of the glass baubles are over $25 each!

I must take some of the blame though, I did leave the decoration shopping to him (just told him to stick to one colour theme). So he did. He must have bought every gold decoration, light and piece of tinsel in the Kirkcaldies Christmas shop LOL.

When we finally get around to getting a tree (a real one, not a fake one) I think the decorations will look nice. They bloody better... $548!

$548... still reeling.

The past few weeks have been quite disruptive, especially work wise (I was working on a big week long event). Now it's all over I can get back to my routine. I function better with routines LOL.

One priority is to get my Christmas shopping done. I've made a list (which is often the hardest bit) so now all I need to do is the shopping bit (woo-hoo). This year, the BF and I aren't buying gifts for each other. We decided to save money, take most of January off and have a great holiday together. Nothing fancy or offshore, we'll keep close to home. Hit the beaches, wineries and generally laze about. Maybe I'll get him to give me surfing lessons. An old boyfriend tried, but I ended up giving myself a concussion when I whacked myself the head with the board LOL.

Today I found out I've been invited to a wedding on Saturday... this Saturday, 1 December. Nothing like short notice! The BF is friends with the groom, so got an invitation but failed to mention to me that I was included. I'm not that fusssed about going, I know very few others going and don't have anything nice to wear (no, seriously, I don't LOL. I'm sick of all my old clothes and nothing looks nice). On the otherhand, it's being held at a gorgeous venue and would be a nice day/evening with good food and nice wine. I'll probably make my mind up on Friday LOL.

...but I won't do that.

I caught up with a dear friend after work tonight for a few drinks (half price bubbles at our fave bar LOL). As usual, conversation between us somehow (!) managed to turn to sex LOL. We were talking about things we'd never do in bed, turn-offs etc. I think this stemmed from gossiping about an acquaintence we both used to work with, and whom we think is a swinger LOL. (Swinging not something that turns me on).

I'm pretty open with sex, willing to try most things and I have great sex with the BF. He's pretty adventurous LOL.

Some of my major no-no's include anything to do with bodily functions (gag), food (the odd bit of whipped cream/chocolate syrup is okay, but cucumbers belong in my salad not my vajayjay LOL), being tied up (just makes me really anxious and freaked out), animals and kids (a given) and being photographed or filmed (yeah, don't want a sex tape uploaded to a free amateur porn site thankyouverymuch LOL).

One of the BFs quirky turn offs is his feet. He hates anyone touching them. Which is good, cos there is no way I'd be sucking the toes a la Steve and Fergie!

Right, now I'm off to email another friend and gossip about the might-be swinger LOL.

I had my hair cut today, it's still long (below the shoulders) but I've had shorter vertical layers put in - similar to the style featured as Number 1 on this link www.ukhairdressers.com/style/popular.asp (I've got pretty much all one length, but it looks pretty similar).

I left the salon feeling good, funky and a bit sassy with my new 'do and decided to call in on the BF at work (the salon is down near his office).

Well, he took one look at me and said "nice mullet".

Nooooooooo!

It's not a mullet. It's just got short vertical layers. It's got volume and texture.

Oh fuck. I hope it's not a mullet LOL.

You know, I tend to bitch and moan about the BF quite a bit on this blog.

But he really is an incredible guy and I adore him.

We were away this past weekend, big family get together and a whole convoy of the Poptart family converged at a nice motel for two days.

The rooms were great - each room had it's own private spa pool, plus there were two outdoor pools for guests as well (one heated). The BF and I were looking forward to having a bit of motel sex in the spa pool LOL. However, what we hadn't counted on was that my niece and nephew wanted to stay in our room, rather than with their parents. So there I am, in a queen size bed with Miss 7 and Mr 3 and the BF is in the single bed next to us, on his own. No bitching or moaning from him either (no that was me bitching and moaning, those kids took up 3/4 of the bed! LOL).

The two additional room guests also meant we had to put a kabosh on the spa pool sex LOL.

He and my Dad also took the kids (my three nieces and nephew, two cousins and one second cousin) for 4 hours, while the rest of us went shopping. I have no idea how they managed to corral the 6 kids LOL. They even came back with all 6 kids intact, a feat I have yet to master LOL.

We also had the kids in the car with us on the journey home (four hours)... we played far too many games of Car Cricket and Your Car, My Car... sang many songs (it's a little disconcerting to realise my niece knows all the lyrics to some rather misogynistic rap and hip hop songs) and no bitching or moaning from him either (again, that was me, three kids in a car can be quite loud LOL).

He's also a pretty great guy for not only putting up with all that, but also not minding being at a huge family party, with over 250 of my relatives, not knowing many people and still feeling comfortable with meeting all these complete strangers and putting up with lots of random questions and comments.

I think after all that, he's earned a reprieve from me bitching and moaning about his hideous carefully crafted mo for Movember.

So the boyfriend is growing a mo for Movember.

It's a charity event that men sign up for in November, to grow and groom a moustache for the entire month and raise money and awareness for prostate cancer. It's a fun thing. Last year the BF did it but wasn't happy with the mo he managed to grow. So this year, he's looking to grow a sort of biker mo, the one with the bit of hair that forms a handlebar down the side of the mouth. Nice... not!

Obviously, I'm not a fan of facial hair but this is a for a good cause. So, to be supportive, do you think I should grow my muff for Movember? (muffmember? LOL). I could grow and groom something heart-shaped or triangular. Could even go for the Gucci logo...

Yes, this is a real image, done for a campaign a few years ago LOL.

Actually, I could grow my eyebrow hairs! A monobrow for Movember could be fun LOL.

Subtle
Introspective
Spiritual
Quiet
Contemplative
Uncertain
Patient

Words that will never be used to describe me.

You know those personality tests? (Myer Briggs), all I remember from my "diagnosis" was that I am "very expressed judging personality" LOL. Not that I keep a lot of stock in those personality tests, as I've taken a few in my time (usually relating to new work opporutnities) and everytime I take a test I get a different result LOL.
