Eight minutes ago the boyfriend departed Wellington on a flight to Auckland, to connect to an international flight that will take him to San Francisco. He's going to a conference for 5 days, gets back next Friday. To say I'm jealous is like saying Britney Spears is a trashy mess... stating the bleeding obvious! So not fair *stamping foot*. I want to go to San Francisco *whiny voice*.

Anyway, to cheer me up I've been checking out a few websites looking at pretty dresses. The Summer 2007/08 collection by
Trelise Cooper has a few nice ones.

This has a very "Angelina Jolie" feel to it for me, even the model has a slight resemblence. I like the neckline of this one.

Black and white, very simple, very classy. Not sure about the one cap sleeve/shoulder thing, but could probably live with it.

Andrea Moore also has a few dresses for summer that I like.

The blue one is so lovely! I'm not a fan of the colour blue or even "busy" floral prints but this works really well. I love the contrast hem and waist.

Another dress with a similar style to the one above, but in black and white. Love the models shoes in this one too.

Right, I'm off to have a big glass of Pinot Noir and a big bitch session with my girlfriends. Just a typical Friday night really.

I'm back from my winter week long mini-break. It went by so quickly and not a lot happened, but I thought I'd write about the highs and lows.

Monday

Highlights – Successfully finding the bach without a map (one thing I forgot to pack) and no directions (one thing I forgot to ask for when booking the place). I had a vague idea where the place was and combined with my poor sense of direction, it could’ve been disastrous. But it wasn’t. I arrived safe and sound.

Lowlights – Not being able to light a fire in the open fireplace (thankfully there was other sources of heating in the house).

Tuesday

Highlights – Going for a long rambling walk in the rain and coming back for a long soak in the claw foot bathtub with a big bucket size glass of Pinot Noir.

Lowlights – Still not being able to light a fire in the open fireplace.

Wednesday

Highlights – Finally managing to get the fire lit! Turns out, I needed more kindling, and paper. I wasn’t patient enough and wouldn’t let the kindling catch fire properly before I put the larger bits of wood on. Who knew lighting a fire was such a science? I’d’ve been a crap caveman!

Lowlights – Realizing I’d eaten all the chocolate and cheese I’d bought with me (that should’ve lasted the week!) Piggy.

Thursday

Highlights – Seeing the BF, I had missed him after 3 days on my own. He looked so cute and rumpled, sexy stubble and all sleepy eyed (it was an early start for both of us, had to pick him up bright and early from the train station).

Lowlights – Seeing the BF and his new haircut. Why or why did he get a buzz cut? I love his longer hair! *sob*

Friday

Highlights – Going for a rambling walk along the windswept beach, coming home to cook a lovely hearty dinner (lamb shanks… yum), listening to some chilled out sounds, smoking a bit of weed, drinking more quality red wine and then retired to bed where I rocked the BFs world… three times LOL.

Lowlights – Crumbs in the bed after having breakfast in it. I always said I'd let Johnny Depp eat crackers in my bed anytime, but now I'd like to retract that statement. Crumbs in bed suck!

Saturday

Highlights – Going to the local pub to watch the rugby (NZ beat Australia to win both Tri Nations and Bledisloe cups). Having the BF sing Dire Straits/Meatloaf/Billy Joel songs to me in a very drunk state, it’s quite cute to have “Romeo & Juliet” sung to you (in tune too ). He is a happy and horny drunk LOL.

Lowlights – Vigorous and lively “discussion” with the BF after he informed me he’ll be away for my birthday and the following week as he’s planned to go to the Ryan Adams concert. So, no thought to perhaps asking me if I’d like to go? Grr.

Sunday

Highlights – Coming home early enough to grab two tickets to the Film Festival screening of “Rescue Dawn” and head to the Matterhorn for a few drinks afterwards.

Lowlights – Coming home and finding I’d put on 500g (all that bloody chocolate and cheese I ate I suspect).

Yep. Looking at the stuff I've packed for my week long winter holiday, I definitely need a sherpa LOL.

I have everything from books (10, including 2 cookbooks) to surfboards (not for me, for the BF who is joining me towards the end of the week). I'm also taking food and wine (the bach I've hired for the week has a modern chef's kitchen, which is cool). Plus shoes. I've packed a few of those (6 pairs LOL). I've got my CDs, my iPod, about 7kg of magazines. Oh, and the cutest pair of gumboots (they're pink with flowers!) if I decide to go for a walk through paddocks. So basically, I'm set.

I'm off at about 10am tomorrow. Yay. I really need this week break, just to chill out and relax. I had hoped to have the whole week to myself, but you know, this whole relationship thingy I have, meant I had to compromise with the BF LOL. So, I've got the place to myself from tomorrow until Thursday morning, when he arrives for the rest of the weekend.

So, it should be a fun week.

See ya when I get back!

Victoria Beckham is a lucky bitch.

I saw those pictures of Posh & Becks that appear in the July edition of W magazine.

David Beckham is hot. What a body. Everything about him works for me, the tattoos, the tan, the muscles, the hair. The little tighty whitey undies LOL.

As you can see, I've changed the template of my blog. I was getting sick of the flowery one. This is pretty plain and simple. Has a very diary feel to it too (Dear diary, Jason Davidson smiled at me today, he is sooooo cute! All the girls in Form 2 like him too).

I'll probably be playing around with it for a few days. I'm not 100% sure I like it, so it may change.

I've been sick the past week or so.

First it was the shaggers back and then I caught this rather virulent cold. I was feeling pretty rotten there for a few days (my boyfriend commented he knew I must be really sick when I turned down going shopping on Sunday afternoon... hardy har-har).

Mum gave me this cough syrup we used to have as kids, Gees Linctus. Blech. It has an aniseed taste (which I loathe) and you take it by adding 5ml of the syrup to 10ml of warm water. Euw. So its aniseed-y water-y cough medicine. This Gees Linctus stuff isn't stocked on shelves, you have to ask the pharmacist for it (and answer a few questions about your symptoms). Active ingredients in the syrup are opium, alcohol and morphine! No wonder it had a slightly addictive quality to it LOL. And I can't believe mum gave it to us when we were kids. Probably doped us out LOL.

But today I'm starting to feel okay, still have a cough but it's less of a death rattle now.

In random news, I bought a new handbag today. I was on my way to meet the BF for lunch and decided to stop by Bags of Difference on Lambton Quay. Anyway, saw the cutest bag, canvas shoulder bag that is nearly identical to this one, only in a beige colour and it cost a fraction of this Bottega Veneta one. Bargain! Perfect weekend casual bag.

Next thing on the to buy list is perfume. Seeing as I'm not taking an overseas holiday any time soon, duty free is out. So I'm scouring Strawberrynet.com for bargains (and people, you so get bargains! The Marc Jacobs perfume I adore costs $200 plus in retail stores, on Strawberrynet.com, it's only $71). How can I not buy anything with prices like that? LOL.
